BP taps Paul Waterman to head BP’s global lubricants business
Paul Waterman, who is currently president of BP Australasia, has been appointed head of BP’s global lubricants business. Succeeding him at BP Australasia effective July 1 is Andy Holmes, who is currently the head of BP’s global fuels business. Waterman, who has been president of BP Australasia since August 2010, will be based in the U.K.
Waterman worked for Castrol from 1994 until BP acquired that company in 2000. Prior to becoming president of BP Australasia, he was vice president of BP Lubricants Aviation, Industrial, Marine and Energy.
Holmes joined BP in 1985 after graduating as a chemical engineer in 1985. Over the years, Holmes has held many roles in refining, marketing and other areas. Prior to his position as head of BP’s global fuels business (Air BP and Global LPG), he led BP’s refining and marketing operations in Continental Europe.
