Bosch to expand sales to Japanese OEMs

Germany’s Robert Bosch GmbH plans to expand its line of automotive aftermarket parts for Japanese vehicles in Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports. “We will expand our product line to cover as many as 90-95% of the parts used in Japanese vehicles,” said Yingyuad Whangprayote, general manager of the Bosch automotive aftermarket division. The company makes a wide range of parts for both diesel and gasoline vehicles including spark plugs, maintenance free batteries, brake pads, oil filters, fuel pumps, oxygen sensors, windshield wipers, lighting systems and electrical equipment. Yingyuad said Bosch would step up marketing of its products to Japanese auto parts dealers in the provinces. The company intends to open service centers for both diesel and gasoline systems and improve the operations of the existing Bosch authorized independent facilities to deal with changing market competitions.
