Bosch plans software, engineering center in Ho Chi Minh City

Germany’s Bosch Group will set up a software and engineering center in Ho Chi Minh City in the third quarter of this year. The new center, an expansion of the operations of Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Ltd. in India, is the first investment of its kind by the group in Southeast Asia, said Quang Hue Vo, managing director of Robert Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. at a press briefing. Hue said the main focus of this center would be embedded software development, IT software and mechanical engineering services. The center is expected to employ 100 engineers in 2011 and increase it to around 500 by 2015. (June 7, 2010)
