Boeing, Airbus and Embraer sign memorandum of understanding
Three leading airframe manufacturers–Boeing, Airbus and Embraer–had signed a memorandum of understanding to develop drop-in and affordable aviation biofuels. The three companies have agreed that they will jointly seek the cooperation of governments, biofuel producers, and other key stakeholders and ask them to support and promote the accelerated availability of new sustainable jet fuel sources. “We are all committed to take a leading role in the development of technology programs that will facilitate aviation biofuels development and actual application faster than if we were doing it independently,” said Paulo Cesar Silva, president of Embraer Commercial Aviation.
