Bharat Petroleum expands lube distribution in Sri Lanka

India’s Bharat Petroleum Corp. said it has begun distributing its lubricants in Sri Lanka’s north and east, where economic activity is reviving with the end of the ethnic war. The company said sales of its MAK lubricant brand have been growing since their market entry two years ago. Presently, the brand is widely available in areas other than the northern and eastern provinces of the country through its agent, TVS Automotives. The company has appointed Sathaas Trading as the distributor in the northern and eastern regions where economic activity is reviving after government forces defeated Tamil Tigers in May.
