Battelle licenses technology to Emery OleoChemicals
Battelle Memorial Institute has agreed to license its technology to produce soybean-based polyols to Emery OleoChemicals LLC. The new polyols give farmers a new outlet for their crops. The polyols can be used in a variety of products, such as flexible and rigid foams, polyurethane coatings and adhesives. The Institute’s research was funded by the Ohio Soybean Council and the United Soybean Council. Emery produces oleochemicals from organic raw materials. (June 20, 2011)
