BASF appoints new corporate unit head

BASF AG has appointed Margret Suckale as head of global human resources–executive management & development effective July 1. Suckale is currently a member of the board of management of the Deutsche Bahn Group’s DB Mobility Logistics AG, which specializes in freight forwarding and logistics activities. Her global responsibilities will include human resource issues related to senior executives, management processes, organization of the BASF Group and executive development. In addition, she will head a strategic committee that will propose candidates for executive positions to BASF’s board of executive directors. (May 7, 2009)
