Bangchak interested in buying only a few stations from RPC

Thailand’s Bangchak Petroleum said it is interested in buying only a few select petrol stations from beleaguered Rayong Purifier Plc (RPC). In a report published in the Nation, Bangchak said that a team from the company visited RPC’s refinery and biomass plants but no final decision had been made. Anusorn Sangnimnual, Bangchak president, said that the company wants to buy only those stations that are not located near its own stations and have long-term leases remaining. He said that Bangchak has not made any decision because RPC may want to sell 60 of its 70 stations to only one buyer. (April 23, 2012)
