BAK Battery to enter electric vehicle market

Chinese company Shenzhen BAK Battery Co. Ltd., which mainly manufactures batteries for mobile phones and laptops, lately decided to march into the EV (electric vehicle) battery market. Armed with a huge investment of US$300 million, which it forecasts it will recover within three to five years, the company will initially focus on the production of batteries for electric bicycles.
