Bajaj to upgrade plant capacity

India’s top motorcycle maker Bajaj plans to spend between US$50 million and US$60 million in 2009 to upgrade its existing plant. The Ministry of Industry’s Land Transportation Director Panggah Susanto said the company’s principal distributor, PT Bajaj Auto Indonesia, would upgrade its existing semi-knocked down assembly plant to a plant capable of assembling completely knocked-down components.
