AutoAlliance Thailand to invest US$350 million

Ford Motor Co. and Mazda Motor Co. will invest US$350 million in their AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) joint venture, in preparation for the production of a new generation of compact pick-up trucks in mid-2011. The investment “will enable us to continue to enhance the one-ton pick-up’s reputation as product champion of Thailand’s automotive industry,” said ATT President Toshinori Kusuhashi. AAT exports Ford and Mazda pick-up trucks to more than 130 markets around the world. (August 26, 2010)
