Australian vehicle sales slide in November

Vehicle sales in Australia fell 22.2% year-on-year in November, according to data released by the Australian Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI). The November drop was amplified by the loss of two working days compared with the same month in 2007, but it also marked a continuation of the slowdown in vehicle sales in the country. Year to date (YTD), vehicle sales have fallen by 2.9% year-on-year to 935,684 units. Toyota remained the largest-selling brand in the country, with a market share of 23.4% in November (17,473 vehicles), while Holden and Ford followed with shares of 13.6% (9,749 vehicles) and 10.1% (7,233 vehicles), respectively.
