Audi plans to introduce models with more fuel efficient engines

German luxury carmaker Audi is planning on downsizing its engine sizes to increase fuel economy. Audi intends to meet its dual criteria of offering performance and better fuel efficiency from one engine itself. Audi had introduced 4.2L V8 engine in 2004 and had termed it be one of their best in 10 years but later it went on to introduce the V6 engine that delivered 27% better fuel efficiency and surprisingly it also yielded better performance. According to Audi Spokesperson Christian Bokich, the company is back to its engineering room once again to introduce better performing engines that will be definitely more fuel efficient.
