ATIEL appoints new president and technical council chairman.0

ATIEL, the technical association of the European lubricants industry, has appointed Peter Tjan as president and Jan Trocki as technical council chairman. During a 25-year career as an oil industry executive, Tjan gained experience in refining and lubricants marketing and sales, in roles that took him across Europe and North America. In 2001, he established a Brussels-based consultancy that specialises in EU energy, climate and environment policy. Between 2001 and 2007 he also acted as secretary general of EUROPIA, representing the business interests of the oil refining industry. Trocki has more than 30 years’ experience in the lubricants industry, starting with Castrol in 1981. Since 2009, Trocki has been the technical manager for SK Lubricants in Europe, responsible for customer support, technical representation and quality issues. (February 8, 2011)
