Angus appoints Kay site leader

Karen Kay has been named site leader for ANGUS Chemical Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company at the company’s flagship manufacturing plant in Sterlington, Louisiana. In addition to her site leadership role, Kay also assumes the additional role of business manufacturing leader for ANGUS and Dow Biocides, a business unit of Dow. Kay succeeds Billy Duncan who was named to a new role at Dow company headquarters in Midland, Michigan. She began her career as a process engineer for ANGUS in Sterlington after receiving a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Alabama in 1985, and held a wide variety of positions and roles. In 2004, her global improvement role was expanded to include Dow Biocides business manufacturing sites, and in 2005 became responsible for Sterlington site engineering. She was appointed to her current role as site leader for Dows Allyns Point site in Connecticut in April 2006. (April 2, 2007)
