Algae.Tec to open showcase facility Shoalhaven One in August

Algae.Tec, the advanced algae-to-biofuels company based both in Perth, Australia, and Atlanta, Ga., U.S.A., announced that the algae to biofuels showcase facility Shoalhaven One will be officially opened on August 2. New South Wales Minister for Resources and Energy the Honourable Chris Hartcher, MP will officially open the facility south of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. The Algae.Tec enclosed modular technology captures carbon dioxide waste from power stations and manufacturing facilities, which feeds into the algae growth system. The showcase commissioning is currently underway. The official opening of the facility would mark the production of algae oil for biofuels. The facility is positioned to take a carbon dioxide feed from a nearby manufacturing facility owned by the Manildra Group, Australia’s largest ethanol producer.
