Affiliate to build CNG, LPG station
PetroVietnam Southern Gas (PVG) has decided to build a compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) station for Vietnam’s first oil refinery, Dung Quat. PVG will invest VND98 billion ($5.798 million) in the project, including a VND68.6 billion (US$3.85 million) subsidized loan. CNG and LPG are cheaper than gasoline and are more environmentally friendly. The US$3.1-billion plant will produce an additional 144,400 cubic meters of petroleum products to serve domestic markets in June. This year, the refinery plans to refine 4.162 million tons of crude oil to produce 57 million tons of propylene, 157 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 102 tons of A90 gasoline, 897 tons of A92 gasoline, 218 tons of JetA1/Korosene, 1.606 million tons of diesel and 171 tons of fuel oil.
