ADNOC upgrades IT infrastructure, aims for global expansion

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), one of the country’s largest fuel distributors, has put in place an IT infrastructure that will enable the company to make its systems processing between 5 and 20 times faster, depending on the kind of work.
Awad Ahmed Ali El Siddig, the company’s Oracle technology project manager, said that the new IT infrastructure will enable Adnoc Distribution to manage its more than 200 filling stations in the country, more than 100 convenience stores, its vehicle inspection centers and its bulk fuel supply line and lubricants manufacturing. The new infrastructure will also speed up the reporting process on its operations and financial transactions.
With the new infrastructure in place, the company can now pursue its goal of becoming a world-class company and a world leader, El Siddig said. (November 22, 2012)
