Khalil Muri appointed as new managing director and Group CEO of PLI
PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) has announced the appointment of Khalil Muri as its new managing director and Group CEO, effective 1 January 2025. Khalil succeeds Hezlinn Idris, who has led the organisation since 2022 with remarkable accomplishments in growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
Muri joined PLI in June 2024 as regional managing director for Asia, bringing more than 25 years of expertise in the global oil and gas industry. His tenure with the PETRONAS Group includes leadership roles across the energy spectrum, covering petrochemicals, LNG, crude oil, and other petroleum products. His extensive experience and transformative leadership are expected to propel PLI into a new era of innovation and success in the lubricants sector.
PLI also expressed its deep gratitude to Idris for her invaluable contributions during her time as managing director and Group CEO. Under her leadership, the company achieved significant milestones and established a legacy of excellence that will continue to guide its future.
