Interion launches locally made AdBlue® in Singapore
Singapore-based Interion Pte Ltd announced that it will manufacture and launch its own brand of AdBlue®, a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) which is a registered trademark of the German Association of the Automotive Industry or VDA.
DEF is made with 32.5% urea and 67.5% deionized water and is standardised as AUS 32 (aqueous urea solution) in ISO 22241. DEF is used as a consumable in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) in order to lower NOx concentration in diesel exhaust emissions from diesel engines.
AceRev® is the first Singapore brand of AdBlue® to be manufactured locally.
Interion has identified Southeast Asia as a target market with a huge potential demand for AdBlue®. Singapore will be implementing Euro VI emissions standard for all new diesel vehicles starting in January 2018. About 190,000 new diesel vehicles are expected to be added to Singapore’s road every year. More Euro VI diesel vehicles are also expected to be imported into Southeast Asian countries such as Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Interion is currently in talks with distributors in various countries to locally distribute AdBlue® by AceRev®.
Interion is also an authorised fuels and lubricants dealer of various oil majors and exclusive distributor for two chemical brands.
