Infineum partners with World Fuel Services for marine fuel additives

Infineum, a leading specialty chemicals company based in the UK, has forged a strategic partnership with World Fuel Services, designating the latter as the global distributor for its Marine Fuel Additives line.

Based in Miami, Florida, World Fuel Services, a division of World Kinect Corporation, ranks among the global Fortune 100 fuel and energy management enterprises.

Infineum’s Marine Venture Manager, Andrea Ghione, emphasised the company’s dedication to fostering a sustainable future through innovative chemistry. The Marine Fuel Additives range is crafted to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce GHG emissions, and bolster onboard operability for the maritime sector. “This alliance with World Fuel Services amplifies our commitment to the industry’s decarbonization initiatives,” Ghione said. “We anticipate that this collaboration will not only offer superior quality but also unparalleled customer service. Starting in Singapore, our robust logistics network will soon span ports globally.”

Mark Tamsitt, senior vice president of Marine at World Fuel Services, echoed Ghione’s sentiments. He noted the mutual dedication both firms have to sustainability and the decarbonisation of maritime operations. “This agreement augments the accessibility of Infineum’s Marine Fuel Additives product suite, and we’re eager to cultivate this budding relationship,” Tamsitt said.
