Infineum names Rahim Oberholtzer chief financial and strategy officer
Infineum has announced the appointment of Rahim Oberholtzer as its new chief financial and strategy officer, effective October 1, 2024. Oberholtzer succeeds Philippe Creteur, who has retired after 18 years of service with the company.
With more than 25 years of experience in finance, Oberholtzer joins Infineum from Shell, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including senior vice president of Finance for Shell’s Chemicals and Products division. His extensive background includes public accounting, investment banking, and finance leadership positions in trading and supply.
Infineum’s CEO, Aldo Govi, expressed gratitude for Creteur’s contribution, stating, “We are deeply grateful for Philippe’s years of dedication to Infineum. At the same time, I am thrilled to welcome Rahim to our corporate leadership team.”
During his career, Oberholtzer has held significant roles, such as head of Structured Finance at Merrill Lynch Commodities and leading Shell’s mergers and acquisitions team in the U.S. He played a key role in major projects, including the launch of Shell Midstream Partners and the Eagle Ford divestment.
Infineum, a leading specialty chemicals company, continues to prioritise innovation and operational excellence in the lubricant additives industry.
