IMCD appoints Yenny Widya as managing director for Indonesia
IMCD Indonesia, a part of the global leading distribution partner and formulator of specialty chemicals and ingredients, IMCD Group, has announced the appointment of Yenny Widya as the new managing director for Indonesia, effective June 1, 2024.
With an impressive career spanning more than 18 years in the chemical industry, Widya brings extensive experience and a proven track record of driving business growth and fostering strong client relationships. In her new role, Widya will be tasked with steering IMCD Indonesia’s organic growth, enhancing commercial and operational excellence, and delivering exceptional value to customers and stakeholders. Additionally, she will focus on advancing the digitalisation of the business and strengthening positive, trust-based relationships with business partners and customers to solidify IMCD’s market position and reputation.
She will be based in Jakarta and will report to Daan Roebbers, regional director of Southeast Asia.

An Indonesian national with a master’s degree in food science, Widya previously served as the business director of IMCD Indonesia’s Food & Nutrition business, where she was responsible for driving commercial growth in the local market. Prior to joining IMCD Indonesia in 2016 as the technical marketing manager, she held various technical and commercial roles at Ingredion, a global ingredient solutions company that produces a wide range of ingredient solutions, including starches, sweeteners, and other biomaterials derived from corn, tapioca, potatoes, and other raw materials. Ingredion serves a variety of industries, including food, beverage, brewing, pharmaceuticals, biomaterials, and industrial sectors.
