HD Hyundai Oilbank’s liquid cooling fluid certified by GRC

HD Hyundai Oilbank has announced that its liquid immersion cooling lubricant, “Extier E-Cooling Fluid,” has received Electrosafe Program certification from GRC, the global leader in liquid immersion cooling systems. This certification reinforces the product’s compatibility with cutting-edge liquid cooling technologies, which offer substantial cost savings and enhanced operational efficiency.

Liquid immersion cooling is an advanced technology designed to cool electronic devices such as servers using specialised lubricants, reducing cooling costs by up to 95% compared to traditional air-cooling methods. The technology also improves safety and space efficiency, making it increasingly attractive for industries reliant on large-scale data processing.

GRC, headquartered in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., holds more than 30 patents in liquid immersion cooling technology and has partnered with prominent organisations, including Intel and the U.S. Department of Defense. The Electrosafe Program certification is awarded exclusively to products that meet the high standards required for GRC’s facilities worldwide.

The global liquid immersion cooling market, currently valued at KRW500 billion (USD341.5 million) is projected to grow exponentially to KRW42 trillion (USD28.6 billion) by 2040, according to Market & Market Research. HD Hyundai Oilbank plans to further advance its capabilities by launching a demonstration project with a domestic data centre company.

This certification marks a significant milestone for HD Hyundai Oilbank, highlighting its commitment to innovation and sustainability in the rapidly evolving cooling technology market.
