Gulf Oil Lubricants names new head of electric mobility
Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited has announced the appointment of Sandeep Bangia as the new head of Strategy, Transformation, and E-Mobility. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening the company’s focus on electric mobility and business transformation. The appointment, effective from August 6, 2024, was approved by the Board of Directors following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Bangia brings more than 28 years of extensive experience in leadership roles related to electric mobility and business strategy. He previously served as chief operating officer for Electric Mobility at Reliance BP Mobility Ltd. and held the position of head of EV, ESCO, and Home Automation at Tata Power Co. Ltd. His diverse background also includes roles in product development and digital transformation at major companies such as Vodafone Idea Ltd, Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices, and Carrier Aircon Limited.
A graduate of VJTI, Mumbai University, with a degree in electrical engineering, Bangia also holds a Master’s in Management Studies in Marketing from NMIMS, Mumbai, India.
Shweta Gupta, company secretary and compliance officer at Gulf Oil Lubricants, confirmed the appointment, stating, “We are confident that Mr. Bangia’s leadership will significantly contribute to our company’s growth and success, particularly in the dynamic field of e-mobility.”
