FutureFuel appoints Roeland Polet as new CEO
FutureFuel Corp. has announced the appointment of Roeland Polet as its new chief executive officer, effective September 3, 2024. Polet, a seasoned leader with more than 35 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry, succeeds Tom McKinlay, who is retiring.
Polet’s extensive career includes leadership roles at Koninklijke DSM N.V., where he contributed to significant market share gains and profitability improvements through strategic initiatives. His previous experience spans senior positions at Valspar Corporation, Celanese Corporation, and Carbolite Foods, Inc., across the U.S., Asia, and Europe.
In his new role, Polet aims to leverage FutureFuel’s innovative legacy to expand market presence, introduce new products, and enhance company performance. The appointment was praised by Don Bedell, vice chairman of FutureFuel’s Board of Directors, who highlighted Polet’s track record in strategy, innovation, and team building.
