FUCHS Group sells Dormagen production site to focus on lubricants business

The FUCHS Group, which operates globally in the lubricants industry, is selling its German production site in Dormagen to CCI Group, Japan, as of December 1, 2017. Dormagen is one of FUCHS’ eight production sites in Germany.

With this sale, the FUCHS Group is focusing its production activities on its core business of lubricants again. The Dormagen site was part of Deutsche Pentosin-Werke GmbH, which was acquired in 2015.

At this production site, around 40 employees work on producing and bottling brake fluids and antifreeze. Along with the site, which CCI will continue to operate, individual customer transactions in the specified product areas with sales revenues of EUR 10 million (USD 11.87 million) will also be transferred.

The FUCHS Group develops, produces and markets high-grade lubricants and related specialties for virtually all industries and areas of application. The company, which was founded in Mannheim in 1931, employs around 5,000 people worldwide at 57 operating companies. FUCHS is the world’s largest independent lubricant manufacturer.
