INFINEUM TO REVEAL SIGNIFICANT FUEL ECONOMY DEVELOPMENTS AND THE ROLE OF LUBRICANTS

Infineum to Reveal Significant Fuel Economy Developments and the Role of Lubricants

[LOCATION, Date] –  Fuel economy targets will be the largest driver for lubricant and hardware improvement and adoption for the foreseeable future. An ever-increasing focus on the environment, vehicle performance and cost of ownership has meant reducing fuel consumption is becoming progressively more important in both passenger and commercial vehicles. However, the relationship between oil, hardware, operating conditions and fuel economy is extremely complex. Understanding this interaction facilitates the improvement of fuel economy solutions.

JunHan Li, Lubes Product Development Technologist from Infineum Singapore Pte. Ltd, will address future fuel economy movements in a highly anticipated technical presentation at F+L Week 2018 entitled “Fuel economy trends and the role of lubricants”. Li will share notable fuel economy data trends, alongside considerations for lubricant formulation to achieve desired fuel economy in internal combustion engines. Drawing on his experience working in both the Asian and European lubricant markets, Li will demonstrate key levers for achieving fuel economy improvement in all engine types. The Infineum technologist’s presentation will be held on March 9 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Macao at Cotai Strip in front of an audience of hundreds of fuel and lubricant industry stakeholders from around the globe.

Infineum is one of the world’s leading formulators, manufacturers and marketers of fuel and lubricant additives, with more than 80 years’ experience, and is supported by a powerful research and development capability. JunHan Li has a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and more than seven years’ technical experience in the lubricant industry – developing products and formulations for the latest OEM specifications.  Li joined the Infineum Singapore Technology team in 2010, and in his current role as Lubes Product Development Technologist works closely with OEMs in India to deploy products that exceed their new fuel economy and emission regulations.
