Valvoline and Cummins mark 30 years collaborating on lubricants

Automotive fluids maker Valvoline Global and engine manufacturer Cummins announced on February 16th the 30th anniversary of their long-running corporate partnership this year.

Since 1994, the companies have worked jointly on developing complementary products from lubricants to heavy duty diesel engines. Combining expertise enables maximizing equipment efficiency, reliability and cost savings for shared customers.

Early collaboration results included Valvoline’s flagship Premium Blue motor oil launched over three decades ago and still solely endorsed by Cummins. Ongoing innovation around changing fuels and technologies continues today.

“We’ll keep innovating alongside Cummins on diesel, natural gas, hydrogen and future platforms so lubricant, fluid and sustainability solutions evolve in parallel,” said Valvoline Global CEO Jamal Muashsher.

The partners also operate joint ventures globally providing integrated services. Their 25-year-old India JV marked its own recent milestone.
