PETRONAS to introduce 40% biofuel blend in Moto2 and Moto3

PETRONAS, Malaysia’s leading oil and gas company, has announced a significant step towards sustainable motorsports. Starting next season, the company will supply a 40% non-fossil biofuel blend for the Moto2 and Moto3 championships, aligning with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the racing industry.

In collaboration with Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for the MotoGP World Championship, PETRONAS is set to revolutionise the Moto2 and Moto3 categories. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation in motorsports.

This initiative marks PETRONAS as a pioneer in introducing sustainable fuel solutions in the high-octane world of motorcycle racing. The new fuel blend, which complies with the latest Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) regulations, is designed to maintain high performance while significantly reducing the environmental impact of the sport.
