Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI) has announced a multi-year partnership extension with FIA European Truck Racing Championship team, Truck Sport Lutz Bernau (TSB), which will continue the partnership through the 2019 season.

As technology partner and team sponsor, Petro-Canada Lubricants supplies all driveline lubricants and greases used throughout Truck Sport Bernau’s specially built 1250 horsepower MAN racing truck, which weighs over five tons and has a maximum speed limit of 100mph. TSB engineers and PCLI’s Research and Development team have worked closely to design advanced technology solutions to meet the high-performance needs of the racing truck.

The PCLI technology used in the truck includes an advanced designed heavy-duty engine oil DURON™ Racing Oil II, TRAXON™ gear oils, and premium performance PEERLESS™ greases.

As its principal driver for 2018, the Truck Sport Lutz Bernau team has re-signed Spanish racing driver, Antonio Albacete. With a career in FIA racing spanning over a decade, Albacete has three Championship wins to his name and finished the 2017 season with a first place win at the final race of the Championships in Circuito del Jarama, Spain.

The 2018 FIA Truck Racing Championships will start on 26 May at the Misano World Circuit in Rimini, Italy. The eight race season will culminate on 7 October at the Circuito del Jarama, Spain.
