Koehler’s Raj Shah receives recognition from NLGI-India
NLGI, ( www.nlgi.org ) based in Kansas City, Kansas, in the U.S.A., is the premier international technical trade association that has served the lubricating grease and gear lubricant industry for more than 50 years. Its international chapter, which is the NLGI-India chapter is headquartered in Faridabad, India.
The first NLGI-India Chapter Appreciation Award was proudly presented to Raj Shah, director at Koehler Instrument Company, at the 13th Annual Lubricating Grease Conference in Ooty, India. The award was in recognition of the continued support of the activities of the NLGI-India Chapter by Dr. Shah and Koehler Instrument Company. Shah and Koehler Instrument have been one of the most ardent supporters of the NLGI-India Chapter since its foundation in 1997.
He also received the ceremonial “Shawl of Honor and Citation,” which in India is considered a tremendous honor and is usually bestowed as a sign of respect and appreciation.
The primary objective of NLGI-India is to bring people in the industry to a common platform to allow mutual business interests to be shared. NLGI-India does this by conducting education courses on various grease-related subjects, organizing round robin tests, conducting grease conferences and publishing a quarterly journal. Over the last decade, the India chapter has grown by leaps and bounds and is now the largest NLGI regional chapter. (January 9, 2013)
