Jan Trocki takes up his post as general manager of marketing and technology at the company’s Shrewsbury headquarters on April 2.
Mr Trocki brings a wealth of experience of the global oil industry to Morris Lubricants, having held senior managerial positions with BP and Castrol for 28 years. At BP, he was North Europe marketing manager for European Fleet Services, OEM Eastern Europe marketing development manager and international OEM business manager for BP CNA, while at Castrol Ltd, he was international OEM business manager and OEM technical manager.
For the past three years, he has been technical manager at SK Lubricants Europe BV, a subsidiary of Korea’s largest energy company, which is a global market leader in Group III – base stock manufacture and marketing.
He is also chairman of the Technical Council at ATIEL, the technical association of the European lubricants industry.
“I am looking forward to an exciting new challenge to further build on the solid foundations of an already successful company,” said Mr Trocki. “There is an opportunity for Morris Lubricants to build its reputation for lubricants specialism based on traditional values and relationship management.
“What attracted me to the company and what I have witnessed since I arrived is the passion that people have for the business. We need to focus that passion to grow the business both in the UK and overseas.”
