Infineum Singapore celebrates SG50 with the community
On Tuesday 22nd September, Infineum Singapore organized an excursion for the residents of four Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) managed homes for the under‐privileged as part of its activities to celebrate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee year (SG50). The four MSF homes cater to a wide range of Singaporeans who require social assistance due to issues such as homelessness, poverty, mental illness etc., all the way from childhood through to end of life.
All in all, close to 80 Infineum colleagues generously gave their time and effort to spend an enjoyable and fulfilling afternoon with 95 residents, and their 16 care‐givers, from the four MSF homes at the Resorts World Sentosa SEA Aquarium. This was followed by a delicious dinner at the Malaysian Food Street where the residents enjoyed local delights such as Penang fried kway teow, rojak, prawn noodles and the likes.
Trevor Russell, Executive Vice President, Sales and Supply, Infineum International Ltd. and Managing Director of Infineum Singapore Pte. Ltd., said: “The residents in these homes are well looked after in terms of their basic needs but are lacking in terms of company and companionship from friends and family members; hence, we were eager to make a small difference in their lives with this event. Having seen the manner in which Infineum colleagues bonded and cared for the home residents and the happy smiles on the residents’ faces as they returned to their respective homes, it makes me feel very proud to be part of Infineum! ”
This charitable event follows the other SG50 celebration events that had gone before, where Infineum had sponsored inaugural scholarships at the two leading Singapore Universities starting in 2015 and where over 60 colleagues planted 50 trees at Bedok Town Park – one for every year for of the nation’s independence.
