GULF OPENS NEW BEIJING OFFICE AS CHINESE EXPANSION CONTINUES

Gulf’s development in China continues apace, with the opening of its second new Chinese office of the year, this time in the country’s capital, Beijing.

Gulf had only recently launched its new office in the commercial hub of Shanghai. This office was Gulf’s first outside of Yantai, where Gulf’s blending plant and administrative hub has been based for many years.

The aim is to better service Gulf’s growing distributor network in China and to help implement new sales, marketing and product strategies. As these come to fruition Gulf will look to add further to its Chinese infrastructure.

It is a busy time for Gulf in China, with a recent national launch event in Shanghai – which included the world debut of Gulf’s new packaging, several months ahead of its appearance in the rest of the world. According to Arthur Liu, general manager of Gulf Oil in China, “This event and the successful new pack launch is just the start for Gulf in its plan for significant growth in the Chinese market. We will consistently look to provide new products and service solutions in the field of automobile repair and maintenance in the future, complementing industry trends in the Chinese market, with an increasing investment in innovative product research and development.” Image: Arthur Liu (second from right) with Gulf’s Frank Rutten (centre) and Jan Trocki (second from left)
