FUCHS earns Global Transition Award for innovative climate strategies

German lubricant manufacturer FUCHS SE has been honored with the Global Transition Award, a recognition highlighting the company’s commitment to developing and implementing innovative climate strategies. The award, presented by the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI), underscores FUCHS’ efforts in aligning its operations with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The TPI, backed by asset owners and investors with more than USD22 trillion in assets, evaluates companies based on their transition to a low-carbon economy. FUCHS SE stood out among global industrial companies for its strategic approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainability.

The Mannheim-based company has been proactive in setting ambitious targets to mitigate climate change impacts. FUCHS aims to be carbon-neutral globally by 2040, a goal that encompasses its entire supply chain, from suppliers to customers. The company’s comprehensive climate strategy includes measures to increase energy efficiency, transition to renewable energy sources, and develop low-emission products.

Stefan Fuchs, CEO of FUCHS SE, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability. He emphasised that the award reflects FUCHS’ commitment to contributing to global efforts in combating climate change and fostering a sustainable future.
