Frank Di Sanzo honored with top annual award from key ASTM International committee
W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., June 8, 2019 — ASTM International’s committee onpetroleum products, liquid fuels and lubricants (D02) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Frank Di Sanzo, research scientist for ExxonMobil Research and Engineering in Annandale, New Jersey, USA. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.
The committee honored Di Sanzo for his internationally respected technical expertise, exemplary professionalism, and outstanding contributions in developingand maintaining standards. He has previously received the Award of Appreciation (1995), two Awards of Excellence (2001, 2011), and the Eagle Award (2014). Di Sanzo is recognized by other members for his leadership skills and outstanding dedication to the committee.
An ASTM International member since 1991, Di Sanzo has held his current position since 2000, having previously served as a research scientist for Mobil Corporation.He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Connecticut, as well as a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts.
In addition to ASTM International, Di Sanzo is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Petroleum Institute, and the Western States Petroleum Association. He also serves on the ASTM committees on petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants (D02), gaseous fuels (D03), aromatic hydrocarbons and related chemicals (D16), and molecular spectroscopy and separation science (E13).
