ExxonMobil Chemical to showcase products at Inter Lubric China

Lubricant formulators are constantly searching for innovative materials to help meet increasingly complex market demands and compliance challenges.

To help enable their success, ExxonMobil Chemical provides advanced synthetic base stocks to create finished lubricants with superior performance, even in the most demanding of applications.

Developed using a proprietary metallocene catalyst process, SpectraSyn Eliteâ„¢ metallocene polyalphaolefin (mPAO) base stocks are scientifically engineered to offer improved performance characteristics versus conventional PAO base stocks.

Formulators are increasingly using SpectraSyn Eliteâ„¢ base stocks to boost performance in a variety of parameters, including higher viscosity index, improved shear stability and enhanced low temperature properties.

ExxonMobil Chemical, the first company to commercially produce PAO 50 years ago, is participating for the 12th year in Inter Lubric China, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to advanced lubricant base stocks and to serving its customers in China and Asia Pacific.

As one of the largest synthetic base stock suppliers, ExxonMobil Chemical addresses the trends in the lubricants industry and is a trusted source of information and guidance to formulators around the world.

Visitors to the ExxonMobil Chemical booth (A2) can meet with technical experts to learn more about the company’s broad portfolio of advanced synthetic base stocks and discuss innovative and differentiated lubricant formulations.

ExxonMobil synthetics lubricant engineer Alina Li will present a paper at the exhibition on the results from an accelerated oxidation test that shows mPAO components can enhance oxidative stability. The improved performance can lower oil thickening, sludge formation, corrosion and varnish generation. Superior performance in these areas can result in lubricants which offer greater durability, enhanced energy efficiency and extended drain intervals when compared to conventional base stocks.

ExxonMobil Chemical technical experts will also present public seminars addressing three key themes: synthetic lubricants and trends, benefits of synthetic versus mineral base stocks, and Group IV and V high performance products.
