Chevron Oronite to sponsor and present at UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress 2017
San Ramon, CA, USA (March 20, 2017) – Chevron Oronite announced that it will again sponsor the UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress to be held April 4-5, 2017 in Stuttgart, Germany. Also, Richard Van den Bulk, OEM Liaison, automotive engine oils, EAME Region, Chevron Oronite SAS, will be presenting on April 5, 2017 from 10:10 to 10:40 a.m. on “Fuel Economy, ACEA 2016 and other challenges for European Passenger Car Oils”.
Van den Bulk will explain how fuel economy, regulation of CO 2 emissions, new engine technologies, and Low-Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) have driven ACEA and European OEMs to develop new lubricant tests. “Driven by fuel economy legislation, European engine technology is developing at an unprecedented pace,” Van den Bulk said. “These highly loaded, hot running engines drive new and demanding requirements for engine lubricants.” He will also summarize developments so far and show the impact and challenges of developing today’s newest, high quality, OEM-approved fuel economy oils.
The Congress draws specialists of the lube and fuel sector as well as experts of the mechanical engineering and automotive industry who will discuss recent industry trends and developments of lubricants and fuels.
