Chevron Oronite To Present at Uniti Mineral Oil Technology Congress
San Ramon, California, USA (March 18, 2015) — James Booth, Senior Research Engineer, Chevron Oronite Company LLC, will be presenting at the UNITI Mineral Oil Technology Congress on April 15, 2015, at 11:45 a.m. His topic is titled Impact of New Specifications and Engine Tests on the Formulation of Engine Oils.
“Specifically, I will describe a test program that was conducted to improve fuel economy performance of low viscosity oil beyond reducing viscosity, and formulating for oxidation and wear control. These three development areas have led to the next generation of heavy duty engine oils,” said Booth. “In this presentation, we will highlight the impact of the tests, and sometimes conflicting test requirements, on formulating heavy duty motor oils.”
