Chevron Oronite to present at the 40th API Automotive/Petroleum Industry Forum 2018

SAN RAMON, Calif., April 11, 2018 – Chevron Oronite announced that it will be presenting at the 40th API Automotive/Petroleum Industry Forum (also known as the Detroit Advisory Panel) on April 17, 2018 at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan. Teri Crosby, global automotive engine oil manager, Automotive Engine Oils, Chevron Oronite, will be a keynote speaker, making a presentation titled, Mobile Natural Gas Engine Oil: Path Towards a Sustainable Future.

“Use of natural gas as a transportation fuel is anticipated to grow, driven by availability, sustainability, regulations, and tighter emissions regulations,” said Crosby. “In this presentation, I will explore how new production techniques and the expansion of distribution/fueling infrastructure has resulted in plentiful natural gas supply.” She will also explain the substantial differences between Mobile Natural Gas Engine Oil (MNGEO) and Heavy Duty Engine Oil (HDEO) performance requirements and formulating technologies, as well as “the new technologies that Oronite is developing to help meet the evolving needs of the market.”

The purpose of the Detroit Advisory Panel is to serve as the communication link between the lubricants and fuels committees of the General Committee on marketing and the on-road original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) on matters relating to fuels and lubricants and vehicle servicing. The theme of this Forum is “Collaboration for a Sustainable Future.” Speakers will provide up-to-date information on the fuels and lubricants issues facing Automotive Manufacturers and the Petroleum Industry.
