Chevron Oronite to present at the 12th ICIS Asian Base Oils & Lubricants Conference 2018

Chevron Oronite announced that Gary Parsons, global OEM and industry liaison manager, Chevron Oronite, will be speaking at the 12th Annual ICIS Asian Base Oils and Lubricants Conference, which is being held June 26-28, 2018 at the Fairmont Hotel in Singapore. He will be delivering a presentation titled: “Mobile Natural Gas Engine Oil: Path Towards a Sustainable Future” on June 27 from 2:20 to 3 p.m.

Diesel fuel will remain the primary fuel for most commercial vehicles for the foreseeable future. However, increases in production, availability, and price stability has led to renewed interest in natural gas for many mobile applications. As India and China move to Euro 6 type emissions regulations in 2020, natural gas may be a more cost-effective solution for OEMs and consumers of certain classes of vehicles. “In this presentation, I will provide an overview of the commercial mobile natural gas markets as well as some of the drivers for change, including infrastructure, regulations, and developments in engine and lubricant technology,” said Parsons.

The 12th Asian Base Oils and Lubricants Conference 2018 will be assessing the impact of increased globalization and diversity on the Asian base oils market.
