Chevron Oronite to present at Spring ILMA Management Forum

San Ramon, CA (April 3, 2017) – Dr. Kaustav Sinha, global project manager, GF-6 and dexos1®, Chevron Oronite Company LLC, will be presenting at the Spring ILMA Management Forum on Friday, April 21 in Carlsbad, CA. His presentation, titled Bridging the Gap from GF-5 to GF-6: Preparing for New Industry Standards, will discuss how engine oil specifications in North America are going through an unprecedented amount of changes in gasoline engine oils.

“ILSAC GF-6, the next global gasoline engine oil specification for vehicles from US and Japanese manufacturers, will be comprised of six newly-developed engine tests that will promote enhanced lubricant performance,” explained Sinha. “While the industry waits on the development of GF-6 specification, there is a need to upgrade products to meet the second-generation dexos®1 specification (dexos1:2015) developed to help protect GM’s new turbocharged gasoline direct injection (GDI) and legacy engine platforms before the expiration of dexos1:2010 licenses on August 31, 2017.”

The ILMA Management Forum hosts over 400 executives from the lubricants industry for an event covering every aspect of one of the most important manufacturing industries driving the global economy.
