Chevron Oronite announces availability of the Additibe OLOA® 20030
27 June 2012 – Chevron Oronite recently announced the commercial availability of OLOA® 20030, a Tractor Hydraulic Fluid (THF) additive. The product, which has been available since early 2011, has demonstrated exceptional performance in industry gear tests and delivers a balance of frictional characteristics.
“Building on Oronite’s long and successful history of formulating premium THF additives over the past 30-plus years, OLOA 20030 has been developed to provide exceptional, cost-competitive performance for universal tractor transmission fluid needs,” said Stephen Best, Specialties and I.E.O. Product Line Manager, Americas Region, Chevron Oronite. “It provides excellent brake noise suppression, as well as protection against gear distress, hydraulic pump damage, rust and corrosion, and fluid oxidation. The balanced frictional characteristics of OLOA 20030 protect clutches and brakes while minimizing brake chatter.”
The company explained that in the development of OLOA 20030 it purposefully leveraged its successful 20-plus-year history with the OLOA 9725XV-series in addition to conducting extensive laboratory tests in brake-test stands as well as real-world field tests that prove the performance of the additive. OLOA 20030 meets the service performance requirements for John Deere JDM J20C/D and Volvo WB-101. Oronite supports the use of OLOA 20030 in applications where tractor hydraulic fluids are specified, including but not limited to Case, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Ford, and AGCO.
“We wanted to make OLOA® 20030 backward compatible with older OEM THF requirements and tests that, in many instances, are now obsolete. OLOA 20030 fits that bill but is also updated to meet new OEM requirements,” said Best. “OLOA 20030 is a dependable, cost-effective THF additive designed around the current performance requirements of today’s modern, common-sump equipment.”
