Caltex Australia Limited: Retirement of chairman

Caltex Australia Limited (ASX:CTX) today announces its Chairman, Greig Gailey, has retired as Chairman of the Caltex Australia Board and resigned as a Non-Executive Director due to health reasons.

Mr. Gailey has been on the Caltex Board since 11 December 2007 and has been Chairman since 10 December 2015. Mr Gailey has made a major contribution to Caltex Australia during this time as it has transformed from a fuel refiner-marketer to a leading integrated transport fuels player delivering significant value to shareholders.

Mr. Gailey said “It has been a great privilege to have served on the Caltex Board and to have seen the Company transform over the last decade into the successful business that it is today”. The Board warmly thanks Mr Gailey for his considerable contribution to Caltex Australia.

Caltex Australia also announces that the Board has appointed current Non-Executive Director, Steven Gregg, to succeed Mr. Gailey as its new Chairman.

Mr. Gregg has been a Non-Executive Director of Caltex Australia since October 2015. He has held a number of listed company Board positions, including Chairman of Goodman Fielder Limited. He is also currently on the Boards of Challenger Limited and Tabcorp Limited. With over 25 years of experience in investment banking and management consulting, he has bought to the Board significant experience in the areas of corporate finance, strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
