Barentz is exclusive N. American distributor of Process Oils

Barentz, a distributor of life science and specialty ingredients, has been named the exclusive distributor for Process Oils, Inc. in North America. Process Oils, a subsidiary of Ergon, Inc., is a manufacturer of process and base oils. With its headquarters in Sugar Land, Texas, U.S.A., Process Oils has been a significant player in the process oils market for more than half a century, offering a diverse product range. These oils find extensive use in metalworking and lubrication.

The collaboration between Process Oils and Barentz aims to provide enhanced value to customers. Barentz’s expertise, combined with its outstanding customer service, regulatory backing, and technical sales team, will complement Process Oils’ offerings. This partnership is expected to foster growth in the North American lubricants sector.

Shana McCabe, vice president of Sales at Barentz North America, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration. She emphasised the addition of innovative functionalised natural esters and specialty mineral oils to Barentz’s product lineup. 

McCabe believes this partnership aligns with the sustainability goals of both companies and will provide superior solutions to their clientele. Based in Avon, Ohio, U.S.A., Barentz has a presence in more than 65 countries, with a strong foothold in Europe and North America. The company boasts a turnover of EUR2.5 billion (USD2.7 billion) and employs around 2,000 individuals globally.

Nick White, vice president of Business Development at Ergon, highlighted Barentz’s technical prowess. He is optimistic about expanding their footprint in the metalworking fluids market through this strategic alliance.
