ASTM International to host June workshop on particle counting in liquid fuels and lubricants

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., March 21, 2017— ASTM International’s committee on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants (D02) is sponsoring the Workshop on Particle Counting in Liquid Fuels and Lubricants – Technologies and Applications, June 29, at the Sheraton Boston, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The symposium will take in conjunction with the June standards development meetings of the committee.

The workshop will provide a complete review on particle counting, ranging from current technologies to applications, across relevant fuel and lubricant industries. The workshop will facilitate discussions on the effectiveness of particle counting and its impact on industrial applications, and it will include an assessment of the importance of product cleanliness. Finally, key industry bodies will describe what is required of the industry for the future.
