Afton Chemical Corp. will present on the subject of “Enabling Transmission Fluid Technologies for Improved Fuel Efficiency”” at the 19th Annual F&L Conference in Bangkok, Thailand on March 14th, 2013. In this focused-topic presentation, Afton’s Dr. Anthony Rollin will discuss research findings leading to gains of up to 1-2% improvements relative to a conventional factory-fill fluid.
By profiling the transmission fluid’s physical properties, Dr. Rollin will discuss how film friction, film thickness, and high temperature high shear viscosity can be optimized to deliver significant improvements. A forward-looking view at the degree to which influencing factors, such as operating conditions and hardware, have on automatic transmission fuel economy gains will also be shared during the presentation.

Dr. Anthony Rollin currently holds the position of Technical Director, Asia-Pacific, at Afton Chemical Corporation. With 35 years of experience in both technical and managerial roles, Dr. Rollin has made significant contributions in the areas of lubrication, wear, additive formulation and petroleum additive synthesis. Dr. Rollin resides in Suzhou, China.
