The ELGI hosts its annual conference in different European cities with around 400 participants from 28+ countries. It is one of a group of scientific and technical institutes active in the field of tribology dealing with lubricating greases and associated products. The institute is involved in all aspects of this product group, particularly those concerning the technical, economic, ecological and legislative positions in Europe. It is our objective to become a focal point for exchange of information and to present a co-ordinated view on matters which internationally impact the industry: WorkingGroups: Railway Lubricants, Bio-based Greases, Fundamental Research, Food Industry Lubrication, Test Methods, Aerospace Greases, Education & Training and Grease & the Environment, Grease Shelf Life, REACH, Grease Particle Evaluation.

The CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference has successfully established itself as an international and unique meeting and networking ground for the entire Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) and Power-to-X industry and its customers. The upcoming 13th edition of the conference will take place on 29–30 April 2025, Cologne, Germany as a hybrid event.
