Lignofuels 2017 – Advanced Biofuels & Materials 

Following the success of the last year’s conference in Munich, Germany with Clariant’s Sunliquid plant visit, and the previous one to that in Madrid with the Abengoa’s demonstration plant site visit. We are delighted to announce that next Lignofuels 2017 Conference will be taking place at the heart of the wood bioenergy industry – Finland.

Already on its 9th edition, this two day conference will bring together key industry stakeholders. We would like to invite you to join our forum discussions and take advantage of excellent networking opportunities, meeting leaders from advanced generation biofuels companies from across the globe.

Exclusive Site Visit to the UPM Lappeenranta Biorefinery: 

The main conference will be held in Helsinki, on the 1^st and 2^nd of February 2017. A day prior the main conference, 31^s January 2017, a limited number of conference delegates will have the unique opportunity to join an exclusive site visit to the UPM Lappeenranta Biorefinery  – The world´s first commercial scale wood-based biorefinery in Lappeenranta, Finland.

This refinery started commercial production in January 2015 with an annual production capacity of 100.000 metric tons – or 120 million litres – of renewable diesel. There is no extra charge to join the site visit, although places are limited and allocated to the conference delegates on a first come first served basis, so we would highly recommend to book in advance to guarantee availability.
